Notes on Data Protection

Within the corporate group UNITY Innovation Alliance (UIA) there are, in accordance with §§ 15 ff. AktG, affiliated companies. Affiliated companies are legally independent companies, in which the UIA itself or an affiliated company of the UIA directly or indirectly holds at least 50% of the shares. The following privacy policy applies to all companies mentioned on the websites of this job portal. For reasons of readability, only the UIA is mentioned in the following document. All websites of this job portal are operated by UNITY AG in Germany.

Privacy Policy on the Website

We, the companies of the UIA, welcome every visit to our websites and the interest shown in our companies and its range of services. The protection of personal data is an important concern for us. All web activities of the UIA are carried out in accordance with the applicable legal regulations for the protection of personal data and data security. This privacy policy explains how the UIA handles information that is collected when the UIA websites are visited.

Collection and Processing of personal data

When you visit our websites, our web servers automatically store the IP address assigned to you by your internet service provider, the website from which you visit us, the websites you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit. Personal data which we require exclusively for processing your application will only be stored if you provide it to us voluntarily as part of your application. Your personal information and data will be collected, stored and only used for the intended purpose with the greatest care and integrity. The provisions of the DSGVO and the Fed-eral Data Protection Act (BDSG) are observed. We only collect the data that is necessary for your application to the UIA.

You agree to the processing and transmission of your data exclusively for the application process. You assure us that the information you provide is true and correct. You are also aware that untrue information may lead to the termination of a possible employment relationship.

Your online application

After entering and transmitting your data, they are transferred directly to the server of our external service provider via an encrypted connection. All data is encrypted using the TLS method.

Automatically Collected Information

When you access on of the websites of the UIA, general information that is not personal (e. g. Internet browser used, number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed) is collected automatically (i. e. not via registration). This information is used to improve the appeal, content and functionality of the websites. A further use or the passing on of data does not take place in this case as well.

Cookie

Our websites use cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user's computer system. If a user calls up a website, a cookie can be stored on the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that ena-bles the browser to be clearly identified when the website is called up again. It is possible to restrict the use of cookies in the browser. However, this can affect the usability of our websites, depending on the browser settings.

Matomo

a) Description and scope of data processing
The websites of the UIA use the web analysis service software Matomo (www.matomo.org) to collect and store data for marketing and optimization purposes. User profiles are created from this data under a pseudonym; cookies are used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of the website visitor's Internet browser. Cookies enable recognition of the Internet browser. The data collected with Matomo technology is transferred to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which serves to optimize our website. The information generated by the cookie in the pseudonymous user profile is not used to personally identify the visitor to the websites and is not combined with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. You can prevent the use of cookies and thus participation in tracking by setting your browser software accordingly, however, in this case you may not be able to use all functions of the websites to their full extent.

b) Legal basis of data processing
The legal basis for the processing of users' personal data is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

c) Purpose of data processing
The processing of users' personal data enables us to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of the websites. This helps us to continuously improve the websites and its user-friendliness. For these purposes, there is also a legitimate interest in processing the data in ac-cordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

d) Duration of storage
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for recording purposes.

e) Possibility of objection and removal
Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted from there to our site. You therefore have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your Internet browser, you can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If cookies are deactivated for our websites, it may not be possible to use all functions of the websites to their full extent.

You have the option of preventing the actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.
 

Security

Your data will be hosted by a provider by way of order data processing in accordance with § 11 BDSG. Both the UIA and the provider use technical and organizational security measures to pro-tect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unau-thorized persons. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Links to Other Websites

This privacy statement applies to all websites of the UIA. The websites may contain links to other providers within and outside the UIA, to which the data protection declaration does not extend. When you leave the websites of the UIA, it is recommended that you read the privacy policy of each website carefully that collects personal data.
